MOUNT OLIVE -- Thelma Herring Dail, 91, died Friday at Britthaven of Goldsboro. She was the daughter of the late Claude B. and Bessie Alphin Herring and the widow of Jonah Dail.
Funeral services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Dail is survived by three daughters, Kathleen Fail of Raleigh, Ethel Heath of Goldsboro, and Mary Ann Brinson of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; a sister, Katie Bell Hill of Mount Olive; a brother, Cecil Herring of Spring Lake; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Dail was preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret Steele Dail and Ruth Gray Best.
Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service today at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mrs. Ethel Heath, 400 Ole Vineyard Rd., Goldsboro.
